Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.7/100, a mean average of 65.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 65.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.2.

The cover art of Megan Thee Stallion's debut album is inspired by cinematographic productions of blaxploitation and Pam Grier's hyper-sexualisation. Megan's uninhibited sexuality is central on this album. Megan Thee Stallion is a worthy heir of the women's rap tradition begun by MC Lyte and Queen Latifah, and the southern hip-hop dynasty inaugurated by the Geto Boys and Underground Kings. Megan asserts herself as "Thee Stallion" and defeats the historically male-centered framework in favor of the sexual narratives of black women. Her assertiveness in achieving sexual desires and pleasures is accompanied by samples of UGK, Three 6 Mafia and Project Pat, drawing nights of ecstasy, where Megan is responsible for her body. Megan Thee Stallion affirms the identity of the "rich bitch" who takes pleasure in killing those who try to block her financial ambitions and asserts herself as the "Pimp" number one.
