Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This album got me into NF.

Guess I'll be the first one here. This is probably the first time I've seen an explicitly christian album go up to the #1 and so fast. Big landmark for christian music in 2019. The lyrics vary from cheesy emo to really insightful. Similarly the production varies from uninspired trendy trap pop to breathtaking often with strings (think Eminem meets Beethoven). There's nothing groundbreaking here, but the guy is clearly pretty talented.
Growing up immersed in Christian music and christian culture this brought back some memories of similarly angsty music (skillet, pillar, thousand foot krutch, toby mac) sharing a lot of the same themes of talking about struggles and hardships. Critically
