Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.3/100, a mean average of 67.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.4.

The first 4 songs are great. Particularly Hurry on Home and Can't Go On. Then it quickly loses steam and well.. it turns out the centre doesn't hold.
Enjoyable album from top to bottom
Ive never been a huge SK guy and in particular 2015’s ‘No Cities to Love’ sounded tired and more of the Riot Grrl same so it was with some trepidation I dived into this one and I’m digging it !
With St Vincent weaving her magic as producer the well needed change in musical direction has happened with pop melodies, synths and even a piano ballad “Broken “ to be enjoyed here
Strong contender for biggest album surprise in 2019
Very enjoyable album from top to bottom
I wanted to like this more than I did, in my obstinacy against the seemingly concerted effort to dismiss it before it ever came out, in part due to the really very mild Janet Weiss "controversy".
It falls off its precipice abruptly after Hurry On Home. Everything that follows consists of uninspired melodies, punkish chants without any bite, and a few tracks overcome by a strange sleepiness. Or maybe impassivity? It's not the new direction in production. Not Carrie Brownstein's maneuver to frontwoman status. Just a collection of lackluster, unmemorable songwriting. It sounds like Weiss wasn't the only one who lost conviction in the outfit.
I Was disappointed at first, but it's a grower.
There are some good songs. Forget The Woods and everything from the 90s/2000s (as great as they are) and it's a pretty good album.
There are some absolute stinkers on here, though. Restless and Love are baaad
Guess what? 100% rules.
