In my opinion, Sleater-Kinney are the greatest American hard rock band and they’re in the conversation of all-time greatest American bands in any genre. My personal top 1,000 albums include five of theirs, with this one in the top 100. I can see how some may be turned off by the ferocity of their music, but it’s hard for me to understand how none of their albums, every one of which is brilliant, cracks the top 1,000 on this site.

Sicuramente, in mezzo a tanti "bimbo-minchia" che popolavano le scene di allora, chi dimostrava di avere maggiormente gli attributi erano proprio queste tre…
Is it just me or are SK super underrated on BEA? Really surprised to see The Woods is not even top 20 (or even top 30) for 2005. Eaaasily top 5 for me.
All S-K's music is a cut above the rest, but having The Woods as #1 album for them just isn't right. "Jumpers" and"Entertain"are fantastic rockers with the ladies in peak form. "Rollercoaster" and "Modern Girl" have engaging lyrics and are catchy toons too. The rest are decent tracks but don't draw me back. I miss the intertwined singing and twisting guitars and subtlety of the earlier albums even though Weiss sounds awesome on drums.
What the fuck there's not a weak moment on this album.
Garage rock was still alive in 2005?
