A Live Paul Westerberg concert? Indeed, that is what "Gravel Pit" offers. Recorded in July 1993 at a dive bar in New Jersey - "Gravel Pit" compiles Westerberg's touring band as they tear through most of the songs on his "14 Songs" album and a smattering of hits from his days in The Replacements. Also of note is a raucous version of the Monkees' "Daydream Believer". The sound quality is not that great, but it is good enough to capture the energy and mood of Westerberg and crew. I would have liked to be at that show.
