Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Mongolian metal folk. What? Yes. A couple of bland songs on there, but this is soooo good. Transcendent. Forceful. Timeless.
When a non english speaking rock band transcends their own country and become global like this, you know they must be good, and yeah, they are great. Metal with a unique ( very weel crafted instrumentation).

Great songs (and I mean some of these arrangements are really GREAT, not just "metal great") that are tarnished severely by a lack of punch in production. Still, The Hu aren't messing around with this debut effort. Definitely worth your time if you're into this type of thing; the songs would be good even if throat singing folk metal bands from Mongolia were more common in western music circles.
