At first just like Colors I wasn't that crazy about it. Also like Colors it grew on me and now I really enjoy it. It's fun and pleasant to the ears. Perfect for chilling in an orange retro chair commenting on BEA about it while drinking coffee.
this album is freaking me out with how amazing it sounds. but I'm betting that over time it's gonna be thought of quite quite highly

I was a huge fan of Becks previous 2 albums in 2014’s ‘Morning Phase’ and 2017’s ‘Colors’ so eagerly looked forward to his move. Unfortunately to my ears ‘Hyperspace’ is a miss step in a stellar catalogue
The Pharrell Williamsifaction of 7 tracks just doesn’t work IMO and as a whole it’s a confusing album with no clear direction jumping from one average to poor track to the next. What’s the goal here? Who knows

It sounds like a mix between Death Cab For Cutie and Wham! Which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. The first four tracks aren't half bad. Saw Lightning is probably the best song on the album. Then the album takes a turn for the worse. Some of the the filler in the middle of this album is laughably bad. Everlasting Nothing is a good closer but it does not save this album. Overall, this album is nothing new. To put it mildly, it's definitely not a high point of Beck's career.
