To recognise the twenty-five year anniversary of the iconic ‘Grace’, 2019 saw Columbia release four superb complete live sets for the very first time :
- ‘Live at Columbia Records Radio Hour’, New York, June 4, 1995
- ‘Live From Seattle’, Seattle, WA, May 7, 1995
- ‘Cabaret Metro’, Chicago, IL, May 13, 1995
and the best of the four this one
- ‘Live At Wetlands’, New York, NY, August 16, 1994 which was performed one week prior to the ‘Grace’ release. So what you have here is an artist literally on the precipice of world wide acclaim. Everything here across its rather lengthy 133 mins is superb hightailed by the final two tracks - a 22 minute rendition of “Kanga-Roo” (Big Star / This Mortal Coil) followed by a bright, breezy and loose fly on the wall “Mojo Pin” sound check performance complete with chatter
A simply mesmerising collection to remember a true artist
