Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 1% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 83.3/100, a mean average of 82.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.8/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 17.3.

Grace stands alone for the sheer power of the performance by Jeff Buckley. It is THE album that connects me & my son the closest - so it spans the generations....and that is a mighty fine thing.
For only releasing one studio album during his lifetime, Buckley is among the all-time greats with his singing and guitar work.
That album, Grace, is so otherworldly influential that it will be probed by musical historians until the end of time. No less than Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke cite him as an influence—one easily heard on The Bends. Chris Martin, Fran Healy, Matt Bellamy, and Tom Chaplin owe an incredible debt to Buckley as both a singer and a melancholy lyricist.
Songs to hear:
Grace
Dream Brother
Lilac Wine
Mojo Pin
Satisfied Mind
Mama You’ve Been on my Mind
Last Goodbye
Lost Highway
The Man That Got Away

An all-time favorite. Have always preferred his live recordings to the studio ones, but I’m definitely a fanboy for most everything he did.
Amazing album (Grace). Unforgettable voice.

That voice man... First time i heard mojo pin from grace, you know, that beginning with the falsetto, i thought it was synths or electronic stuff, i couldn't imagine his potential... It's not only the voice, its range, his control and ability to use it however he wanted, it's also the incredible guitar work of the songs, so unique, if you try to learn one of them like grace or dream brother you'll know what i mean but most of all this is all about emotions, being alive and feeling the world and its weight. Jeff was the only one who could delivere a spiritual range so vast while being so fragile and gentle himself. He could have done so much more...

Fucking Genius
One of my absolute favourites over all music. I think world is missing him too much
A tragic loss in every sense of the word. It seems to me that had Jeff lived, he would have gone on to rank among the greats; Lou Reed, Thom York, John Lennon, even Bob Dylan. Such a shame we'll never get to hear his full potential discography.
Who knows what could have happened if he had lived.... We had a glimmer of what his talent was with Grace

Very sad that he died, so young and with so much talent and potential. Only releasing one album, but great that he left his mark on the world as the album is fantastic. I'm giving him this rating because it's what I gave his only album.
