Some say this is the best album Springsteen never made. It's interesting it is full of his influence. This might have been the direction Bruce went if he wasn't bitter over all the legal troubles. That said, this is still a really good album on it's own merits.
Amazing that many of the tracks that Little Steven recorded on his debut was rejected for this.
