Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.5/100, a mean average of 74.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.6.

THE BEST ALBUM

ESSENTIAL.

There's a reason he is called the Hillbilly Shakespeare. No other artist laid out their heart in lyrics like this part-Cherokee Alabama native.

This was one of the first LPs by Williams, assembled from recent singles recorded between 1947-1951, and released within a year of his death. The original 10" LP was later expanded with four extra songs later in the decade.

Happily, the original album, plus the four tracks from the expanded LP, have been reissued for streaming with the original cover art.

I'm very fortunate to have a 12" LP with the four bonus tracks I listed above.

American classic. This is a genuine feel-good album with so many big songs that you must love it. Laidback and fun.

Not an album artist, but this is easily the best collection put out while he was alive.

Tumblin' Tumblin' weed was my fist song I really started liking him. Pretty average as albums go, but a timeless artist and voice.

What a great voice Hank has got. His songs are so powerful and his life story is full of tragedy and sorrow.
