I've focused on solely personal, lesser known albums for fun before, and I'll do it again, but I'm being more conventional this time.
Anyhow, my biases are still all over this chart. Rock over Pop. Punk over Prog. Classic Soul over modern R&B. + A small scattering of treasures that have been overlooked by the masses.

Number One. The most transportive work I can name. When this is playing I am somewhere else, inside this record, in a different world. Mind-blowing upon its release, it STILL brings the chills for this listener. Stacks on stacks of style. Every element coalescing to form a sonic Megazord: Gibbons' voice, the turntable scratching, the distorted disparate samples from decades gone by... even a simulated THERAMIN on track one to establish its singular identity.
