Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 11% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.7/100, a mean average of 74.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.8.

Blues/Hard Rock extremamente competente! Sem pressa e com ótimos blues riffs se matem, principalmente nas baladas.

The first BC album I had. Used to play it all the time but all sentiment aside, though this is solid "70's boogie rock, it doesn't compare to the debut.

Fave tracks:

Shooting Star
Good Lovin' Gone Bad

Enjoyable enough but not as good as the debut or, Run with the pack. Still, Feel like makin' love, and, Shooting star, are two of the band's best songs. All in all, competent but unspectacular.

The sound of the 70's. I expected a better record after such a great beginning. I'm sure the record company was pressuring them for a quick follow-up to a big money maker.

An excellent follow-up to their smashing debut. A couple of the songs are a little sappy and dull, but Shooting Star, Good Lovin' Gone Bad, Deal With The Preacher and Feel Like Makin' Love are all top notch, as evidenced by the fact that they are in regular rotation on classic rock stations 40 years later.

There are a handful of great songs here; however, as mentioned by others, the rest of the album is only so-so.
