Inkari is a group of Incan musicians who took the name of their group from the mythological half-man/half-god founder of the city of Cuzco in Peru and, according to one of many stories, was the first of the Incas. The music presented here is traditional Incan music with a couple examples taken from popular mainstream Latin American music. Found on Inkari Records (Cat # INK001) this 1991 release is a critical addition to a serious collector of historical music. It can be authenticated at discogs.com
