Not to be confused with the 1966 Capitol Records release "Live!" (which includes an exclamation point [!]), this 1978 release on Philadelphia International Records (and distinguished for the purposes of this site with the notation "at the Mark Hellinger Theater, NY, NY") "Live" is a two record set (Cat # 7243-8-29120-2-6) of Rawls delivering his best known songs in front of an enchanted audience. The soulman with the deep baritone is heartfelt and convincing as he plows through a 15 track repertoire (although the multiple medleys include excerpts of numerous other songs as well).
