This 1991 compilation was a career spanning retrospective of Canadian piano master Oscar Peterson's career up to the point of release. Released on Verve Records (Cat#: 847 203 2) this two album set features 28 songs and performances dating from 1949-1971, with Peterson's most famous musician buddies and some solo piano performances as well. There are a couple of fully orchestrated pieces, but most of the works feature a small group. Authenticated on discogs.com
