The Motown Group Commodores were about the biggest funk band of the 70s, led by smooth crooner Lionel Ritchie. The Detroit based label chose to release this compilation by the band in 1978 on LP as (Cat#: M7-912R1) and simultaneously on cassette as (Cat#: MHC 912). It is this second version which I have on hand. The 10 tracks feature the funk powerhouse "Brick House" and "Machine Gun" while also giving the audience of the balladeer Ritchie on "Three Times A Lady" and "Easy." It's a fine introduction to this Motown group. Authenticated on discogs.com
