Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.0/100, a mean average of 71.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.1.

For me, this is the pinnacle of Triumph. The songwriting is outstanding, Rik's voice and guitar are in top form, and there is great variety across the album with two instrumentals (one acoustic and one electric blues), and even an a capella vocal showpiece. A stellar album from end to end, with the real strength showing on side 2.

Triumph seem to be one of those bands that get grief. However these guys managed to produce 4 superb albums despite growing tensions. Yes, they tend to reapply the same formula as in previous albums, but I believe they overall did a better job. Spellbound is no Allied Forces and Time Goes By is no Fight The Good Fight, but it is nevertheless one of my favourite albums of all time.
