Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.8/100, a mean average of 71.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.1.

This one made the cut!
I am kind of doing Styx in reverse order. I bought 'Mission to Mars' first and was really impressed to the point where it is my top 100 albums. I then bought 'Kilroy Was Here' and was pleasantly surprised considering the generally terrible reviews. I am now listening to this as a vinyl re-issue and it is a great album with no really weak tracks. Some great lead guitar soloing throughout which is coupled with great keyboard soloing.
My first album of note (the Wombles don’t count). Rocked out to this and it is a perfect introduction to air guitar. Still my favourite Styx album and I owned many.
I got this album from the mail-order record club when I was in junior high school, and it is one of the least enjoyable albums I have ever owned.
Best Track: Renegade
The pressure was on to produce a classic album following the success of The Grand Illusion. While this album doesn't quite reach the heights of TGI, it is still very worthy of a Top 100 position. The second side of the album is filled with one great track after another. The first side is a bit weaker with The Message-Lord Of The Rings being the biggest weak link.
