So cool that the Dead had their moment in the late 80s... but this album doesn't stand out any more than any of their other work.

The album most emblematic of the "80s Reagan" rock sound. Fans of the War on Drugs ought to take a listen to this one. Probably the best studio work by the Dead.
Stirring and moving late career rebirth for Americas greatest band. Touch Of Grey is fantastic Throwing Stones is powerful with a message still relevant today, and West La Fadeaway and it seedy tales of The Chateau (Marmont) is fantastic as well. Truly well performed collection of high quality songs. fleshed out over several years of live performing before ever being issued as a an album.
