Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This is pure rock'n roll the way Dave Edmunds communicate it: fast, simple ... and with a lot of 50's feeling. Dave is a purist musician with a lot of love to the early times of rock (Perkins, Presley and the Sun sound generally)!
I loved "I hear you knocking" and the album "Repeat when necessary" is just one out of several excellent records he has made in this genre. He's a genius in his field!
