I expected to dislike this album and after the first couple songs I thought "wow, I actually really enjoy this" then it went downhill from there. Most songs are pretty repetitive and derivative of the songs that preceding songs yet less inspired as the album goes on. The hook on the titular track really reminds me of "A Hard Day's Night" by the Beatles with more testosterone.

AC/DC has their sound and they don't deviate much from it. People who like it will like it and those who don't care for it will diss it. It is what it is. Easy to see why it has such a huge following because this appeals to the Led Zeppelin crowd when the only other thing that was "hard" at that point in the mainstream was punk.

If you like testosterone fueled power chords and screaming and very high-octane rock with singable albeit repetitive choruses then this is for you.

A true classic of the hard rock era. Not a whole lot of depth here, but plenty of not so clean, good fun.

A classic rock'n'roll album. One of AC/DC's best records, highway to hell, is silly, fun, and completely sexist, just what you want from Angus Young and co. HTH, features some great tracks; shot down in flames, if you want blood, and, touch too much, are all excellent, but best of the bunch is the glorious title track, brilliant. An enjoyable LP.
