Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.4/100, a mean average of 77.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.7.

Very good album starts off with the signature title track other notable songs are Touch Too Much, If You Want Blood… and Night Prowler. The rest is solid not much filler. Arguably one of their best and I can say the same for a handful of their albums.

Another great AC/DC album packed full of raw energy and power that is waiting to be enjoyed. It is simple but it is so effective with the choruses being infectious and forcing themself into your head so they replay once the album has finished. Songs like Highway To Hell and Girls Got Rhythm are just addicting and you can just keep playing them over and over again and keep loving them. The Young brothers are simply sensational on this release as well with their guitar work being such a key factor in the effectiveness of the songs. They seem to just have an innate ability to create classic rock music. Furthermore, the vocal is brilliant and I always found myself being more drawn to the Bon Scott era as I think his performances are superior. His vocal styling is unique and instantly recognisable and it made me fall in love with the group. Overall, this is an elite level album with loads of absolute classics and it makes for a fantastic experience.

This album keeps Powerage's energy, but is better produced, one of the AC/DC best.

Pivotal AC/DC album. Rocks hard from start to finish. If You Want Blood... , the title track and Girl's Got Rhythm are personal favourites.

With the exception of Back in Black, Bon Scott-era AC/DC in contrast to Brian Johnson-era AC/DC has several worthwhile albums to listen to such as Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap, High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, and of course Highway to Hell. If you aren't interested in AC/DC's brand of raunchy, sex-obsessed blues-driven hard rock, then you probably won't like this album. However, if you do, then this is one of the ultimate party-rock albums.
