This is better than Lasers and had some nice moments but not a full comeback to the quality of his first two albums.

This is a good hip-hop album for lupe, with some interesting sampling ideas and decent rhymes, especially on standout "battle scars", but the catchy beats and overall hip-chill vibe of the original "food & liquor" are long past now. I'm not sure if i'll binge on to "part 2" or not. It's good, but in the realm of hip-hop music, there's always a lot of fresh blood with something to prove and untapped potential. What potential does lupe have left? (We'll have a solid understanding when F&LII,Part2 comes out.)
