Some phenomenal edm-pop songs on this Album (Call Me Maybe, Tiny Little Bows, Curiosity). It's held back by typical pop filler. If the extra songs added on the deluxe version had been added instead of the filler it would be a lot better.

Jeez guys, it’s just a pop record. And I’m not only talking to people who adore this album, but also the people who think a 5/100 is an accurate rating for any album and not at all just an act out of spite. I believe the worst rating you can give an album is a mediocre one; haters just secretly love it, but hate the fact that they do because they religiously hold on to a belief of what good music should be. They might believe that lyrics should be deep, or that VST plugins are the devil, or just flatout have an aversion towards anything that’s slightly upbeat like they’re afraid they might enjoy something in their goddamn lives.

But there is no denying that the vocals are good, the production is very satisfying to the ear, the songwriting is relatable. Just a solid album overall. But it does nothing really special. If I would be in the mood for some good electropop, I’d grab me Kylie’s Fever or Britney’s Blackout, not this, but I enjoyed it.
