The Long Ryders made three excellent albums in the 1980s and Two Fisted Tales rounds out the trilogy as their best record. When it comes to Tom Petty meets Byrds roots-rock jangle-pop, Long Ryders are hard to beat. Even when the lyrics and tunes don't really stand out, every song is masterfully executed.
