What would big boi do for an encore to "Sir Luscious Left Foot" dropped just 2 years prior, the best hip-hop of that year not released by Kanye? How about a sequel of sorts? Stylistically, this is a lot like "sir luscious", so much so that any differences in quality, mostly the absence of big hits, is more apparent, although some songs are a muddled mess. I hate to weigh heavy importance to hooks, but when it comes to any music related to pop music, especially hip-hop, replayability is often tied to hooks, and "vicious lies..." doesn't come close to the hooks of its predecessor. "shoes for running" featuring wavves is probably the most interesting tune here.
I'm a huge Outkast and Big Boi fan. And I have to say, this was gravely disappointing :/
