If you like Kate Bush and Enya you'll most likely love Loreena McKennitt. This is her early masterpiece. Mysterious and powerful songs with a strong voice and orchestral sound. The recording quality ist excellent.

This is quintessential Loreena; marvelous composition, beautiful and haunting melodies, and that wonderful, ethereal voice.

I should mention that she has a strong celtic-folk core to her music which is complex and atmospheric.

If you like Joanna Newsom and/or Kate Bush check out Loreena McKennitt. Three albums which I would rate at 90 (or better) are The Visit (1991), The Mask and the Mirror (1994) and The Book of Secrets (1997).
