In addition to being a pleasure to listen to, Loreena McKennitt is exceptionally talented. She is a musical scholar who researches intently before bringing her stories to the studio. She can meld disparate styles into a unique, coherent and beautiful whole. She writes lyrics, music, leads her ensemble, and is accomplished on a number of instruments, not the least of which is her angelic voice.
