A dark, gloomy album laden with existentialist lyrical themes. As always, phenomenal musicianship, and the morose tone set by songs like Dark Ages, Victory and Real Love is somewhat balanced by the fury of faster paced songs like Teresa, Give Me That Knife and the title track.
