Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 4% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.5/100, a mean average of 75.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

Her most accessible album, almost goes full-pop, but still retains an edge.
Regina Spektor is a 24-year-old Russian-born American who arrived in the Bronx at the age of 9, persevering in the study of the piano despite material difficulties. Some meetings allowed him to succeed: she was spotted by Julian Casablancas. This album is full of emotions: it is sad, melancholy and euphoric. The universe of the singer is offbeat and have been easily carried away by the piano.

Best track: "Us"

My favorite Regina album! How can you not like her? She's wonderful and her singing style is uniquely beautiful. She also has some of the most interesting lyrics.
Definitely not as good as her first two albums, but there are still some really good tracks here. Chemo Limo is my favorite!

Favoritas: Us, Your Honor, Sailor Song, The Ghost Of Corporate Future
Every song is solid, and some of them are outright spectacular. Regina can take almost any crazy idea and turn it into a catchy pop song. It amazes me that this one isn't even rated as her best. Crazy how overlooked it is.
It's outright bizarre how little recognition this album (and her career) gets for its range, creativity, and beauty. Your Honor and Us are masterpieces
Chemo Limo was one of the first Regina song I heard and I was hooked. Ode to Divorce, Us, and Somedays are the other highlights of the album for me.

Some of the songwriting here is up there with the very best by the likes of Cat Power, Fiona Apple or Liz Phair. "Chemo Limo" and "Carbon Monoxide" in particular were a real punch, truly heartbreaking. Not all the songs are hits, but overall the album was a very good surprise.
The trio of songs in the first half, Carbon Monoxide-The Flowers-Us, is wonderful. The rest is still good enough that I still like the album, but something about her gives this feeling of "forced quirkiness" (kind of what Community made fun of in one of the recent episodes - http://25.media.tumblr.com/6a491e794eea60b2f86d11fa9d05d264/tumblr_mkrf7252av1r2bzz4o1_250.gif ).
