I had this album when it was first released and gave it many spins on my turntable. The connection to Dylan was what got me into Doug Sahm & Band. I loved it that Dylan offered the song 'Wallflower' to Doug and joined in on vocals during the recording. I have included this version in my 'top 100 Dylan covers' chart.
Just another Texas road warrior, lived with a mike in hand, died trying to put a recording session together. This ain't anything special-- but in that kinda special way that sometimes happens when the tape is rolling. The debut of "Wallflower", the definitive "Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone," a cover of "Me and Paul." A great version of "Its Gonna Be Easy."
