Man, this is my favorite "America" album. There is not one filler on it, was gorgeously produced by George Martin and contains there only other #1 single "Sister Golden Hair". Two other tracks were released as singles as well and hit the Top 50. Even though the album was a huge success in the States topping out at #4, it is still vastly underrated as one can divine from the ranking on this site. There is a reason why of all the "America" albums, only "America" (OOP), "Homecoming" (OOP) and "Hearts" have been released on SACD. If the #8 status on this site has prevented you from treating yourself to this ear candy, pick it up in hi-rez, kick back and zone out, no medicinal herb necessary but it never hoits Moe.
