A more laid back feel than their 90's albums which works and I like
In my opinion, this is their best effort since Us & Us Only. Enjoyable all the way through, and gets better with repeated listens.

same as others. quite a surprise that this is as good as it is. best they have done in at least 10 yrs. if you are a fan and have gone off them in recent years it's worth a listen
Not what I expected, their best album in over a decade. The last 2 albums dented their position of my favourite band for the last 20+ years, this is more like it. Wondered if we'd get another album after the sad loss of Jon Brookes last year, once again the Charlatans bounce back. As with most of their albums, this is different from the last, a very mellow, soulful sound, with some great hooks on it. Doesnt sound like the same band that released Tellin' Stories in the height of britpop. In The Tall Grass maybe one of their best songs yet.
