best tracks: deeper than love, whatever i want
I had fun with this album. It's first couple of tracks kind of gave me a bubble gum pop meets Ramones type of rock feel.
And then I got to Deeper Than Love....
Oh my.
A fun if certainly monochromatic love-letter to the 90s, the vocals and productions eeriely have mid-90s Holly Golightly/Julianna Hatfield/The Breeders deja vu all over the place. Romanticizes the decade perhaps to a fault, but when it does occasionally decide to walk off it's straight line it definitely succeeds- the slightly ominous, six-minute, synth-driven Deeper than Love is a particular standout
