Professor Longhair is an interesting listen. Shows the transition in the 1940s & 1950s from blues to rock n roll. Tipitina by itself makes this album a must. He was somewhat past his prime when he made this record, having given up on piano and worked as a janitor when someone recognized him. But it's still worthwhile. Snooks Eagin guitar is a nice match for the Professors piano style.
