The best album of 2015... an absolute masterpiece. This was Lana Del Rey’s enlightenment. Transcended from the darkness that was Ultraviolence and Born To Die to a state of peace and nostalgia. The single High By the Beach remains a highlight along with the Bowie inspired “Terrence Loves You” and the gorgeous “Swan Song” along with “The Blackest Day” and “Religion”. This album is truly the definition of underrated. (Edited)
I feel with each album she gets slower, duller, and keeps having less and less of the catchiness that made her first album an enjoyable and different piece of pop. Ive struggled to get to the end the few times Ive tried to give this one a spin and I listened to her first album on repeat.

I really like it honestly. I don't mind change if it's good and this is definitely very good for being more of a chill outing. Her voice is wonderful for both slow and upbeat so I don't understand why some people are so against the change.
Very sad in the sense that the concept is great but the songs are boring and they seem shallow sometimes, as like she's just showing her singing and writing skills instead of just using them.
And the feeling of weakness gets multiplied by it being released after Ultraviolence that was a masterpiece in every way.
A perfect album and Lana's best collection yet. People say that the songs sound too similar...you can say that about any artist. That's a sign of their style; further listening reveals the nuances and cohesion of this fantastic work.
