Toad's "Fear" is the kind of alternative rock that was brewing in the world that wasn't grunge back in '91. You remember those alt-rock days -- gin blossoms, b-52s, r.e.m., spin doctors... Exceptional songwriting flourishes throughout "fear". Glen Phillips brings susceptible lead vocals heading an underrated band and album.
