Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 6% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 78.4/100, a mean average of 77.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.2/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 14.2.

Pretty decent 90s band with that quintessential sound (Edited)
Please stop the hate against Supergrass ! When I was younger they were super popular, but now their best albums are ranked on BEA around 1400 all-time ? How come ?? It's true the band members looks like dorks but still, "In it for the money" is quite a good album. So I think it's time to start loving Supergrass again NOW.
Album ranking:
1. Supergrass (X-Ray Album)
2. In It For the Money
3. Life On Other Planets
4. I Should Coco
5. Diamond Hoo Ha
6. Road to Rouen
A consistently great band from I Should Coco to Diamond Hoo Ha. Despite their breakup in 2010, I won't be surprised if they eventually reunite.
My band!
