many good albums, the most honest lyricist, laid back revolutionary who made country music to surfers. Invented grunge, and had a unique way of playing which makes him one of the best guitar players ever. Also one of the greatest songwriters ever to step earth.

He is the only guy who managed to consistently make good albums for nearly five decades now. Something Bowie did not do. Or McCartney or the Stones. The only other artist I can think of still making great albums after more than 40 years are the Sparks - and they had some pretty weak periods.

Just saw him on Mad Cool festival and WOW, impressive. More than 2hr concert with almost 20 min "Rocking in the Free World" and >20 min "Down by the River", as well as some acoustic classics like "Heart of Gold". Full of energy, was able to drive fans and not fans crazy. My favourite album: the sometimes ignored On the Beach.

As someone who grew up listening to rock and metal and nothing else, Harvest & After the Gold Rush helped expand my tastes in music. One of the greatest of all time.

I want to like Neil Young as much as everybody else, and I do think he has a great deal of talent. However, his voice is just not appealing to me at all.

An incredible and unique artist. His better works (like Tonight's the Night) are not easy to understand, but bring emotions like almost noone else.
