Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 71.5/100, a mean average of 70.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.2/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 16.6.

An far-from-consistent oddball, that's for sure, but the singles that Norman Cook's iconic DJ persona produced are still absolutely fantastic.
Many great singles and the album, "You've Come A Long Way, Baby" is well worth having.
The album slow-cooks to a boil with the opening track "right here, right now". Massive beats. i love the pounding drum machine and tension this song creates. You probably have heard "rockafeller skank", the funk soul brother (which has an amusing fanboy intro). Or maybe you heard "praise you" ("we've come a long, long way together / through the hard times and the good. / i have to celebrate you, baby. / i have to praise you like i should" ). When these songs work, it's mostly because of the combo of cool beats mixed with a little humor, like on track #3 "in heaven", which is short for "fatboy slim is f@cking in heaven" where the swear word is repeated often. Fun stuff. It's a dance club party album.
