X Japan is easily one of the greatest and most underrated metal bands in history. They have a great mix of hard, speed songs and beautiful balads. All of their albums are very solid, but Art Of Life and Blue Blood are GREAT! The first is a one-single CD with one of the greatest songs of history in my opinion, a spectacular 30 minute metal opera, the second one is one of the better speed metal albums I ever heard. Yoshiki's great composition, drum and piano skills, Toshi's emotional voice, hide & Pata vibrant guitars and Heath/Taiji melodic bass make a great mix. To sum up, a enormous band limited by the language they sing.
One of Japan's most successful, entertaining and mesmerising bands ever. Their repetorie literally jumps from fast and heavy yet melodic speed anthems to classical power ballads courtesy of the creativity of band leader, pianist and drummer Yoshiki. He's backed up by the raspy high voice of Toshi, intricate guitarist Pata and the flashy bass of Heath (former bassist Taiji performed one of the best tapping solos on Youtube). Lively and very popular guitarist hide died in 1997, but has been replaced by Luna Sea member Sugizo since the 2008 reunion following 10 years of inactivtiy from the band. An eclectic band by anyones standards, X Japan helped pioneer the visual kei scene of their home country and remain one of the influential metal bands in Japanese music history.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
We work very hard to ensure our site is as fast (and FREE!) as possible, and we respect your privacy.
