Good singer, Pop Punk / New Wave icon; writer of great anthems of the 80s like "Eyes Without A Face", "Dancing With Myself", "Sweet Sixteen", "Hot In The City", "Rebel Yell", etc.
He also knew how to reinvent himself artistically with his album, "Cyberpunk".

I really recommend listening to Cyberpunk. Like "Berlin" by Lou Reed, it was a misunderstood work at the time that, we must take care of its importance. In my opinion, his best album.

Poppy, catchy, slick MTV faux punk.
Terrific live performer and some really good catchy songs. More of a hard rock and even pop artist than true punk in my opinion.
Great live act and some very cool songs. Idol's albums can be a little inconsistent but when he is on a roll, he is as good as it gets. His Devil's Playground album was amazing.
