Despite having a couple of big number one singles and a short run of good standard Motown albums, The Foundations then largely disappeared from the music scene without much trace. Listening again to their song collection their quality as a top Pop Soul band is undeniable. Based on the quality of their best work, their longer-term success should have been guaranteed.
