Classic middle American hard rockers generally lumped in with arena rockers like Journey or Survivor, but so much better as they didn't fall into the commercial trap of all that sugary, saccharine sap. Far greater depth, these guys are legit, especially on their best albums, Hang On For Your Life and Silent Scream. Like Kansas, they also employed a violin to good effect in the service of their more straight ahead rock.
