John Baldry assembles an All-Star Brit backing band here and his "It Ain't Easy" album was produced by Rod Stewart and Elton John for one side each of the original LP. Don't make the same mistake I did and confuse his "Black Girls" with The song of the same title by The Violent Femmes. "Don't Try To Lay No Boogie Woogie ... " really gets it started and things don't let up until the album's finish.

Reginald Dwight adopted the name "Elton John" in homage to Elton Dean and John Baldry!
