They had so much potential but, like many alternative hip hop artists of their time, they dissolved through the rise in popularity of gangsta rap, and the very popular term of "creative differences". Blowout Comb is like no Hip Hop album you will ever hear. If you like jazz, live instrumentations and innovation... look to Digable Planets. I guess you could call this rap for the hipsters.

So cool. I can't think of a better adjective. Their sound and presence in the 2nd Golden Age of Hip-Hop was just so... cool.
One of the best hip hop act of all time. Very specific, atmospheric and jazzy sound they have. Sadly they are no very popular.
