Offenbach's music is not complicated, it is basic standard blues/rock but they are considered innovators as an outfit in Quebec. 1) They were the first to sing rock in French. 2) They performed a massive rock'n roll mass at the Oratoire St-Joseph which you can hear on the album "St-Chrone de Néant" (this was an official mass with the priest doing the ceremony in Latin but the musical interludes being a heavy 5 man rock outfit instead of canticles and choir.) and 3) Once people started to get used to their blues/rock sound, they went out on stage with a big band and just blew everybody of their seat. Then Offenbach became Gerry's band and Pierre Harel left with some of the guys to form the 2nd biggest Quebec rock band, Corbeau.
