Interesting balance between jazz harmony, subtle but effective arrangements, moments of virtuosity and a quiet, gentle voice. This is for sure very melancholic music, filled with emotion and passion; and it is also presents a considerable range of styles and genres, switching from pop-like ballads to latin rhythms, acoustic tunes or dramatic rock anthems while the lyrics are often enigmatic and aloof.
However one big complaint has to do with the production, which is a bit lackluster and at times slightly sloppy.
The songwriting more than makes up for it though. And that is the important part.
