I was so skint at this time. I wasn't buying many albums and relied on listening to music on the radio and tv. As a result, I know lots of bands from this time, but not their albums. I knew the odd track here and there. As a result this is a smaller chart.

I can remember taping every track of this album from John Peel's shows over the period of a couple of weeks. As a result, I had a tape of the album that I listened to constantly for a few months before I could afford to buy the album. Unfortunately, my ears became accustomed to this order and it took me ages to adjust to the order on the official album. Even today my memory sometimes predicts the wrong song order between tracks.

I remember seeing the Wedding Present play Dundee in front of about 10 people. They were picking on me because I had bought Age of Chance's second single and they thought Age of Chance were a bunch of w******.

Such an amazing album. The sound just washes over you. I bought this when I was very skint. It was a major investment to buy vinyl at the time and I was rewarded with a gem.

Discovered this band when they supported Sonic Youth. Mike Watt as a surprise support? Straight out to buy the album next day.

The Pastels make another wonderful album. Their sound is growing up on this one. There is a wider range to their sound.
