Timeless jangly indie guitar pop with 60's influences of the Beach Boys and Beatles as well as the classic songwriting partnerships such as Goffin and King. Almost every song is about love! Active since 1986 until the present day and led by lovestruck lead singer Duglas Stewart, they are friends with, and sometimes share members and songwriting with Teenage Fanclub as well as other bands who grew up in the towns near Glasgow like the Vaselines and the Soup Dragons. Had a brief period in the mid-90's when they flirted with being more well-known when they were on Creation Records and released probably their most well known single, Serious Drugs.

Don't get confused with the name: they're softer than the beach boys (which is an influence)
